The Panasonic DVD-S38 is a basic low-cost DVD player with flexibility built in. It can play a wide variety of CD and DVD formats, allowing users to play their burned and backed up content as easily as they would a standard DVD.

The unit also supports MP3 and JPEG formats on burned DVDs. Video is played in high quality at 108MHz in 12-bit Video DAC, and progressive scan is used for a smooth picture. This DVD player can accept NTSC signals and outputs via Component or Coax ports.
