HDTV owners can upscale their DVD movie collection to 1080p through an HDMI cable for improved visual results. The DV-CP706 is also capable of outputting 480i video if one wanted to use their A/V receiver’s native upscaling capabilities. This player is compatible with both Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound through its digital outputs, or stereo analog audio outputs for users without surround sound.
