The LG RC897T is a DVD recorder/VCR combo unit that includes a digital TV tuner for recording TV programs.  The device has super multi-format compatibility making it capable of recording both dual layer and rewriteable discs as well as DVD to VCR dubbing.

  It features progressive scan technology as well as an HDMI output with 1080p up-conversion of DVDs and videos.  The RC897T includes LG's SimpLink technology for easy HDMI connection to other SimpLink devices and has a set-top box controller for recording directly from a digital cable or satellite box.  It offers a variety of connectivity options including front panel USB and camcorder inputs for playback of MP3, WMA, and JPEG files.  The DVD player has an suggested retail price of $300 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
